The Evening Times covered the protest on Wednesday. You can read it here.Well done to all those who came along, the voices had obviously been tuned up before the event! Enthusiastic as always, especially the kids. A big thanks to all those standing against the cut in Wardens and the free buses. A peaceful demonstration heard by the Council whether they wanted to hear it or not!

Yes, read the piece in the news. Seems as usual very Barrhead/Neilston driven. Contribute less want more so nothing new there then. Why vote your councillors in if they are that bad?

Not sure where you get your Barrhead/Neilston opinion from it's all of East Renfrewshire that the protestors came from. We are also not looking to contribute less, there was a 4.9% increase in Council Tax. We are also not campaigning for more, merely to keep what we have. Try comprehending the news article and understanding other pieces on the site. People in this community are not the lazy, rapacious types you suggest. You obviously don't know the area very well.
